I'm Aram Kirakosyan, a psychologist and psychotherapist based in Yerevan, Armenia. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions, and other psychological challenges.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) — two evidence-based methods that have been extensively researched and shown to be effective for a wide range of mental health difficulties. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions, I adapt therapy to each person's needs, goals, and pace.
I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel understood without being judged. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you better understand your experiences, develop practical skills, process difficult memories when needed, and build a life that feels more consistent with your values.
I hold two master's degrees in psychology, including an MSc in Psychology with Specialisation in Health from the University of Strathclyde (United Kingdom). Alongside my university education, I have completed specialised professional training in CBT and EMDR and continue to develop my practice through ongoing education, supervision, and evidence-based clinical work.
I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and strive to provide an inclusive, respectful, and affirming therapeutic environment. My practice welcomes clients regardless of gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, disability, or personal beliefs.
